About Us

Where It All Began

Every great origin story has a turning point. For us, it was a well-worn sofa, a bucket of popcorn, and a heated debate over whether Die Hard is a Christmas film. (It is. Don’t @ us.)

From that moment, destiny called. The world didn’t need another superhero team—it needed something bolder, more opinionated, and slightly more sarcastic. It needed The Film Geezers.

Masked behind the legendary aliases of Robbo, Cheeto, and Yobi, we assembled like a cinematic Justice League—minus the capes (but with plenty of snacks). Together, we vowed to protect the world from terrible remakes, lazy sequels, and overhyped trailers.

Robbo, the father figure and OG Geezer, brings the old-school wisdom of VHS tapes and cinema queues. Cheeto, the oldest son, wields the fiery passion of a new-gen moviegoer and defends reboots with questionable conviction. And Yobi? The wildcard. The younger brother who showed up mid-series and shook things up like a surprise post-credits scene.

Now, united by film and family, we run a growing movie hub powered by pure cinematic chaos.

What Do We Actually Do?

  • Film Reviews: No-nonsense, honest takes from a multi-generational squad of film nerds.
  • Movie Podcast: Chaotic debates, bold opinions, and the occasional trivia showdown.
  • Film Industry News: Breaking headlines, behind-the-scenes buzz, and what’s next in Hollywood and beyond.

We’re not critics. We’re defenders of cinema. Champions of great storytelling. And sometimes… merciless takedown artists of bad CGI and lazy writing.

So whether you’re Team Classic, Team Modern, or just here for the popcorn, welcome to our corner of the film universe.

We are The Film Geezers.
No capes. Just opinions.
