A Few Good Men is a 1992 American legal dramafilm based on Aaron Sorkin’s 1989 play of the same name. The film revolves around the court-martial of two U.S. Marines charged with the murder of a fellow Marine and the tribulations of their lawyers as they prepare a case to defend their clients.

I think that this film superbly captures the tension, drama and feelings in a courtroom. I love how the film takes us into the courtroom, out of the courtroom etc. This makes us (the viewer), understand how frustrating and exhausting going to court can really be. It’s definately the best courtroom film since 12 Angry Men.

I love the cast of this film, I must admit; I’m not the biggest fan of Tom Cruise, but I think that he is brilliant in this film, and he shows how good of an actor he can really be. Jack Nicholson is Jack Nicholson, he once again shows why he is one of the best at what he does, it’s also nice to see the balance between young and old in this film. Demi Moore is great, she rounds off a brilliant main cast. I also think that Kevin Bacon and Kiefer Sutherland are great in supporting roles.

I love the writing in this film, the film is paced brilliantly, there’s scenes where there’s something frantic happening, the next they’re sat down in court, this is written in a way that it flows perfectly. I think the dialogue is brilliant, and we all know the famous quote to this film.

I love Tom Cruise’s ark in this film, he starts out as a incompetent, smart ass know it all. By the end of the film, he has matured and has grown for the better. Almost every main character has a brilliant ark, they are the total opposites of the character they started out the film as, in a good way.

Overall, if you like tight suspenseful dramas that will have you on the edge of your seat, then this is the film for you. Definitely watch this film guys.
